Welcome to the Book Vault: Your Guide to Finding the Perfect Read
Hello, and welcome to your personal, interactive library! The Book Vault is designed to be your most powerful tool for answering the ultimate question: "What should I read next?"
Forget endless scrolling—this is about finding the exact book you're in the mood for, right now. Here’s how to make the most of it.
The Basics: Exploring the Library
The Vault is a living database of every book I've indexed. You can scroll through it just like a normal list, but its real power comes from three special tools: Filter, Sort, and Group.
1. The Magic of Filtering: For When You Know What You Want
This is your most powerful tool. Filtering lets you narrow down the entire library to see only the books that match your specific criteria.
*How to use it:** Click the `Filter` button at the top of the Vault.
*What to do:** Click `+ Add condition` and choose the category you want to filter by (like `Genre`, `Trope`, or `Pacing`). Then, select the specific tag you're looking for. You can add multiple conditions at once!
Try this:
Want to find a Fantasy book with the "Enemies to Lovers" trope?
> 1. Click `Filter`.
> 2. Set the first condition to: `Where` [Genre] `is` [Fantasy].
> 3. Click `+ Add condition` and set the second to: `And where` [Trope] `has` [Enemies to Lovers].
> Now you have a perfect list of books matching that exact vibe!
2. Sorting Your View: For a Curated Perspective
Sorting allows you to organize the entire list based on a specific detail, like author name or my personal rating.
*How to use it:** Click the `Sort` button at the top of the Vault.
*What to do:** Choose the category you want to sort by, such as `Author A-Z` or `Rating` (from highest to lowest).
Try this:
Want to see the highest-rated books in the entire library first?
> 1. Click `Sort`.
> 2. Set the condition to: `Sort by` [Rating] `from` [5 -> 1].
3. Grouping for Inspiration: For Discovering by Theme
Grouping organizes the library into clean, collapsible lists based on a single category. It's perfect for when you want to browse by a general theme.
*How to use it:** Click the `Group` button at the top of the Vault.
*What to do:** Pick a field to group by, like `Pacing`.
Try this:
Want to see all the books organized by their pacing?
> 1. Click `Group`.
> 2. Choose to `Pick a field to group by`: [Pacing].
> The Vault will instantly transform into separate, tidy lists for "Slow Burn," "Medium Paced," and "Fast Paced" books.
